Fox News watchers were stunned when the station broadcast footage of a mysterious orb of light and energy during their coverage of the damage caused by Hurricane Florence.
Jane Register posted about the unusual sighting on Facebook claiming that she was watching Fox and Friends when she noticed the orb of light traveling across the screen. Register explained that she was watching an evening report regarding the damage caused to the US state of North Carolina when she spotted the bizarre live footage.
In the course of the broadcast, Register watched as the huge orb appeared to sink in the sky and completely subsume a nearby gas station. Shortly after this, the orb appeared to rise in the sky and slowly leave the scene.
The gas station has been identified as Bridgeview Gas Station which is based in Morehead City in North Carolina and the footage is believed to have been taken in the early hours of the morning local time.
As of yet, no first-hand observers to the scene have been identified who could shed some further light on what the bizarre orb of light could have been and, as of yet, no official explanation has been put forward as to what could have caused this most unusual happening.
Individuals who have viewed the footage on social media channels have suggested that the orb of light could have been caused by the extreme weather that the state was experiencing at the time. It could be possible that the heavy rainfall and the electrical disturbances in the air caused by the ferocious hurricane could have created something of an optical illusion. However, others do not believe that this is a plausible explanation and it has been put forward that Fox News inadvertently broadcast footage of a paranormal phenomenon.
